Why the Forum travels

One identity, a new host city for each edition. What a city gives the Forum, and what the Forum leaves in the city.

The business of sport is global, and so are the people who run it. A forum fixed in one city would keep meeting the same room. The Forum keeps one identity and moves: each edition is held in a host city chosen for it, on any continent.

What a host city brings

International access for delegations, a conference venue, a closed room for the Dealroom, an expo hall, four evening venues, and a real local sport economy: clubs, events, production, technology and training.

What the Forum leaves in the city

Four days in which the city's own institutions, companies and young people sit in the same rooms as the people who finance, produce and equip world sport. Day 4 is built with the city's schools and employers.

How a city is chosen

Six criteria: access, venues, sport economy, institutions, talent and a written commitment. Nothing is announced before the host city agreement is signed. Cities, regions and venues can propose themselves on the Editions page.
