Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act. Last updated 1 November 2026.

Who is responsible

The controller is the organiser named in the legal notice. Write to contact@sporteconomy.org, or use the contact page, for any question about your data.

What we collect, why, and on what basis

  • Requests sent through a form (pass, membership, invitation, Dealroom, partnership, host city, message): to answer you and prepare a contract you ask for. Basis: steps taken at your request before a contract.
  • Registrations and contracts (participants, members, partners): to deliver the Forum, issue badges and invoices. Basis: the contract, and our legal obligations for accounting.
  • "Be told first" emails: to tell you about the Forum. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the link in each email.
  • Security of the site: a salted, one-way fingerprint of the sender's network address to limit abuse of the forms. Basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the service.

No cookies, no tracking

This site sets no cookie and runs no analytics, advertising or social media script. No consent banner is needed for that reason.

Who receives it

Our team, our host Cloudflare, Inc., and Google Cloud EMEA Limited (Ireland), which provides our email and the register where requests are kept, each as processor. Once the host city is announced, the official hotels and the official airline receive only what you choose to send them through their booking links. We never sell or rent personal data.

Transfers outside the European Union

Cloudflare, Inc. is established in the United States and certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, whose adequacy decision the General Court of the European Union upheld on 3 September 2025; an appeal is pending before the Court of Justice. Cloudflare's standard contractual clauses also apply. Google may process data in the United States through Google LLC, which is certified under the same framework, and Google's standard contractual clauses apply.

How long we keep it

  • Requests that do not lead to a contract: three years from our last contact.
  • Contracts and invoices: as long as the contract runs, then ten years for accounting records.
  • "Be told first" emails: until you unsubscribe, and no more than three years after your last interaction.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to give instructions for its use after your death. Write to us through the contact page; we answer within one month. You may also complain to the CNIL, 3 place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris, cnil.fr.
